Accept me as I am! I am me!  Ever hear those phrases?  There are two parts to that phrase, there is a negative and a positive.  Accepting someone as they are is crucial to establishing an honest friendship.  It shows your your willingness to leave yourself vulnerable and to be open with someone  to establish an honest line of communication.  However the negative side is when you are told to accept someone as they are; it's translation can be interpreted to accept their willingness to keep on sinning.

The problem that arises is not in the acceptance of the individual however the tolerance the person wants you to have for them to keep on sinning.  Personality and Character are two different things.

Someone may be a an outspoken-truthful-do-what needs to be done type of person.  Someone can keep it real and be honest or be shy.    However the problem does not lie in their PERSONALITY it lies in the use of their personality as an excuse to keep falling short or continue to sin and waiting on God to change and yet not take a step to change.

Yes! God helps those who CaN NoT help themselves cause if we COULD Help ourselves He would not have had to come down on the cross to bear the punishment of our sins.  However our Spirit must WANT TO first.

We give too many excuses. When Jesus asked the man with the infirmity at the pool of Bethesda if he wanted to be healed, after laying there for thirty eight years, he kept giving excuses. We talk about the past and how we were treated but when it's time to make a step to change we often times would rather complain of our misery and give excuses rather than taking a step of faith to change.

If you feel this way know that you can be who God created you to be however you must first be willing to act and give it to Him to him first....personality and all.

Have you ever found yourself complaining or asking yourself "why me?" Or have you ever wished you were someone else? Often times we see life's uncertainty's and worries and think that God is not listening or wonder if He's even there? Today I want to remind you that He is here, promising to us in Hebrews 13 v 5 that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He then reminds us of His amazing plan for our lives when we choose and trust in Him:

Jeremiah 29 v 11 states:

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  God wants you to understand that if you choose His plan, you will be at peace, and forever delight in His goodness. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. His nature does not change, He remains the same. Forever loving, forever faithful, forever God! He will NEVER LEAVE YOU, NOR FORSAKE YOU..

So today I urge you to remember that you are never alone when you choose God, It is the only choice with no regrets!
